Pre/Post Chill Fall
CCYHA will once again field a 16U Pre/Post Team. Players currently registered for the CHILL 16U tryouts but do not make a team will receive a link for a free registration to tryout for the CCYHA 16U Team. (if you did not receive the special link, please email ccyhainfo@gmail.com)

Tryouts are May 10 @ Dublin 1 from 7:50 pm to 8:50 pm.
The Columbus Chill Hockey Club is one of the top Ohio Pre/Post hockey programs for High School players from central Ohio.
Under the guidance and leadership of Coach RJ Umberger, the Columbus Chill gives players the opportunity to learn from professional coaches through a proven training schedule. Practices are fast paced and challenge players through innovative drills and games to provide comprehensive skill development that will transfer to game play better than “old-school” drills. Off-ice activities will include informational seminars and video sessions to enhance each player’s physical, mental and emotional development to perform at a high level during the Chill season and for their High School team.
2023 Tryout Registration & Schedule
Tryout fee - $100
REGISTRATION IS OPEN UNTIL APRIL 26.
It is recommended players attend all tryout sessions.
For the 16U tryouts: we will be splitting the players up into different tryout teams for the April 27th and May 2nd sessions. Please be on the lookout via email for your child’s exact ice slots.
There may be cuts after the May 2nd session if we feel it’s necessary to make sure we are able to properly evaluate players.

FALL 2023
The Chill will field 18U and 16U teams. The teams will run from early August to late October. The Chill have approximately 20 hours of practice and plan to play 20 home and away games within 2 - 6 hours from Columbus. The 18U and 16U teams plan to compete for the MidAm District Championship in late October for the chance to secure a bid to the USA Hockey National Championships held on April 3 - 7, 2024.
2023 SCHEDULE
The 2023 schedule will be finalized in the upcoming weeks. It will be similar to the 2022 season. In 2022, the teams traveled to four tournaments (Buffalo, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland). Both teams were very successful in 2022. The 18U team won one tournament and 16U team won two championships.
COSTS
Estimated season cost (includes games, practices, coach fees, apparel, and off ice activities) - $1300 - $1500
